Sustainable Development Goals

In line with the 2030 Agenda, we have prioritized the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):

It is one of our priorities to bring value to our direct influence area cultural wealth and contribute to the local communities needs and substantial aspects, as nutrition, economic development, and access to basic services.

Whitin this framework, we promote local labor recruitment programs, we implement projects in support of the community development, we monitor the environment, and maintain negotiation through permanent dialogue with the communities in our direct influence area.

To contribute to the reduction of the environmental impacts produced by greenhouse gas high concentration on the air, we have been measuring annually our GHG emissions and implementing sustainable operative efficient projects, based on international standards (BID and IFC) and align with the ISO 14001, managing to reduce on 25% our carbon print and 20% on our power consumption.

We implement different actions to protect the land and its biodiversity, which are aligned with forests sustainable management, fight against desertification, la restoration investment, and actions to face the loss of biodiversity

Hay Festival Ayacucho

To showcase the traditions and ancient knowledge of Ayacucho, we brought to this region this event original of Gales and today replicated all around the globe, on a space open for dialogue and cultural exchange with national and international leading personalities.
PO

We look forward to exhibiting the cultural wealth from Ayacucho not only on its region, but the whole world.
Key Allies:

We achieve the festival organization working on cooperation with Huamanga Provincial Municipality and Ayacucho Regional Government.
KPI:

- Since 2018, we have reach 872920 people
- 59547 people have participated in the event for the last 3 years.
Ayacucho Giant Altarpiece

We worked with local master artists to restructure the fist giant altarpiece made in Ayacucho, one of the most notorious cultural expressions of their cultural identity.
PO:

We focused on the citizens from Ayacucho, to rediscover their cultural expressions, for them to share it with their neighbors, visitors, and national and international media.
Key Allies:

We work in coordination with San Cristobal de Huamanga University and the Giant Altarpiece’s authors, the popular artists association.
KPI:

- We brought value to the cultural identity of 616,176 Ayacucho citizens
- We recognized 198 years of Huamanga’s tradition
- We gain visibility to the 80 years Altarpiece’s history
Vibra Festival

Thanks to the participation of citizenship, we were able to achieve this event, in recognition and demonstration of the collective effort to preserve the local history through traditional dances and culture promotion.
PO:

We work with Cañete, Pisco and Chincha associations, institutions and organizations willing to promote through dance their own cultural identity
Key Allies:

The making of the event was possible thanks to the cooperative work with the Culture Ministry, the National Dance Counsel, and the San Luis de Cañete, Huancano, Humay, Chincha and El Carmen Municipalities.

Scholarships

We promote technical formation for young people in Camaná and other communities from Bajo Urubamba, in Cuzco.
PO:

We help to strengthen capabilities for the young people up to 24 years old from the communities, giving them access to a technical career.
Key Allies:

We implement this program in cooperation with Asociación Kallpa and PROSIP (Promotora de Obras Sociales y de Instrucción Popular)
KPI:

- We have contributed with 15 scholarships
Summum Awards

We look for local leader producers in our influence area to invite them to participate on this event, in which they can exhibit their work and products to the international market.
PO:

We bring value to the work of producers found throughout the entire 730 km length of our route, passing by our country jungle, highlands and coast.

Sustained Support

To support our Capacities Strengthening programs, we donate tools and equipment to help improve learning conditions for our scholarship holders and children in our influence area.
PO:

We contribute with the learning process of early and elementary level students, members of our scholarship program and teacher from schools in our direct influence area.
Allies:

We coordinate with the authorities from the communities, the Asociación de Padres de Familia (APAFAS) and the school principals from the many communities in our influence area.
KPI:

- We have donated 7151 educational for early and elementary level students.
- We have contributed with the work of 532 teachers by giving them kits with educational tools.
- We have benefit 168 learning centers in more the 80 communities.
- We have given 70 laptops, for students to have access to digital tools

Medical campaigns

Through implementing medical campaigns, informative workshops and other activities, we contribute with disease prevention and healthcare attention improvement in Camaná and Chiquintirca communities.
PO:

We look forward providing specific healthcare attention to each member of Camaná and Chiquintirca communities.
Key Allies:

We work with local healthcare centers, the Regional Government, the Health Regional Department, Red Médica, presidents of the different communities, mayors, and the Health Ministry.
KPI:

- We contributed to improve the wellbeing of over 210 people from Camaná Community
- More than 300 people attended in Chiquintirca Community
Nutrition Program

We develop sessions, educational materials, fairs, and organic vegetable gardens to contribute with the improvement of the local family habits in order to prevent and control anemia in Camaná Community.
PO:

The program is focused on guarantee the appropriate development of children under the age of 3 years and pregnant women.
Key Allies:

The execution of this program have been possible thanks to the cooperative work with the NGO Acción contra el Hambre, and with the management support from the Cusco Health Regional Department, the La Convención Health Network, the Camaná Healthcare Centre and the collaboration of local authorities.
KPI:

- 100% of the community pregnant women has been blood tested to confirm their hemoglobin status
- 80% of the community children, from the age of 0 to 59 months, has been blood tested to confirm their hemoglobin status

Community Environmental Monitoring Program (PMAC)

Since the beginning of our operations, we have work cooperatively with the Machiguenga communities near our path, to recover reliable information about potential impacts of our Pipeline Transportation System, so we can design corrective measures. To this day, we keep on adapting to face and overcome new challenges.
PO:

We promote the participation of the Machiguenga Communities members in our influence area.
Scope:

We have trained 196 people within leaders from the different communities, majors, teachers, students and Servicio Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (SERNANP).
KPI:

- We have given over 108 capacitation hours.
- We have design 1 intercultural training module with the participant’s contribution.
- We have implemented 5 environmental educational and digital tools usage training modules, to shorten the technological gap increased by COVID-19.
- 175 houses have been instructed so they can correctly dispose their solid waste.
