TGP continues to maintain the integrity of pipeline transportation system with a Cathodic protection laboratory in Lurín, Lima.
Corrosion is the second most important threat to the integrity of pipelines and TGP has committed to mitigate this threat and this has built a field of cathodic protection laboratory.
"Laboratory allows develop skills in cathodic protection systems as well as simulate failures in order to acquire and strengthen knowledge of the staff responsible for the management of maintenance and interpretation of the results," said Daniel Trapani, Manager of maintenance on the strategic qualified operator of TGP, the inauguration held at the end of October.
For his part, Ricardo Ferreiro, general manager of TGP, stressed the importance of the work "With staff trained in the diagnosis and resolution of problems in time and form, TGP adds one further effort to ensure the integrity of the pipelines and offers this tool to other operations of the Group and third parties".
